- Share best practices for trauma informed shelters and enriched supportive services, and learn from other NWSN Providers around the country serving women and children experiencing homelessness.
- Learn how to make your shelter child and family friendly, embed deep protective factors, and put children first so they heal, learn, grow and thrive.
- Learn how to transform the trauma of homelessness into a window of opportunity empowering women and children to build the foundation for safer, brighter futures.
- Share and learn from cutting edge research, technology and innovation in our provider field.
- Become the initiators of academic-community partnerships and community based service driven research, how to contribute to the knowledge in our field and secure services for your sheltered guests.
- Access trainings to enhance your provider’s organizational capacity, funding and resource development, operations, program development and services.
- Find sample policies and procedures for NWSN Provider operations, including: equity, diversity and inclusivity; non-violence and zero tolerance for abuse; disaster and emergency preparedness and continuity of operations; HIPAA; admission and sheltered guest agreements; house rules; transportation.
- Contribute to information sharing and research on a national level identifying gaps and needs and developing informed public and social policies.
- Learn new strategies for resource development, raising public awareness and education, and successfully engaging key stakeholders.
- Advance solutions to end and prevent homelessness.
